Insight Exchange Network hosted its annual gathering of DAM professionals late last January at The Third Annual DAM Practitioners’ Summit in NYC. Presentations focused on DAM challenges, solutions and stories. Topics covered strategies and tactics for user adoption, governance, metrics for measuring DAM value, integration of DAM with other systems, workflows and more. Case studies, Q&A and a breakout session rounded out the agenda.

The Art and Practice of Managing Digital Media, kicked off September 24th, 2019. I chatted with David Lipsey, the conference Chair, and asked for some insight on what was in store for us at the ‘the Midwest’s largest conference dedicated to Digital Asset Management.’

“Chicago is a very interesting expression of DAM in the marketplace. There are hundreds of companies in the region that rank in the top thousand in the US. Their imaging, branding and e-commerce needs are a significant opportunity for DAM technology and personnel, and it’s happening right now.”


Digital Asset Management News, 3/10/19: The Insight Exchange Network- DAM Practitioners’ Summit 

Insight Exchange Network hosted presentations on the challenges facing DAM practitioners in terms of technology, staffing, scaling, training, evangelizing, and getting ahead career-wise. Case studies highlighted how creative templates create workflow efficiencies and increase brand consistency, and explored the potential of using Artificial Intelligence (AI) for metadata and tagging. 


 DAM Guru, 8/20/18: Digital Asset Symposium, Association of Moving Image Archivists

“Who lives, who dies? Who tells the story?” sums up how history gets written – by the survivor. Media asset management leaders from non-profits, music entertainment, sports, documentary filmmaking and marketing technology gathered at the Museum of Modern Art for a lineup of thought-provoking presentations on technology, big data, big storage and AI.
